Banker fined for ivermectin imports

A banker in Zurich has been fined for illegally importing thousands of doses of the horse drug ivermectin.

For many corona sceptics the drug was a miracle cure. But in reality, it’s useless against covid and can be fatal.

The drug regulator, Swissmedic, brought charges against the 59-year-old who bought 2,500 doses online from India.

The banker told the court the drugs were for his personal use and he had read a lot of positive benefits.

The idea such a large amount was for personal use was rejected and the banker was fined CHF 3,000.
