Bern drags its feet on carpool lane

French officials are frustrated with Bern as it says it won’t allow a car pooling lane at the Bardonnex border until 2028.

The mayor of the neighbouring French town of Annemasse, Christian Dupessey, says the delay is even more incomprehensible as a car pool lane has been running for the past 6 years at the Thonex border and Bardonnex is a popular crossing for those car-pooling from Annecy.

He says he believes Geneva officials are equally annoyed, but border crossings are the responsibility of the Confederation.
