The decision to fund the Palestinian relief agency UNRWA continues to split politicians in Bern.
The senate Foreign Affairs Committee has voted to put of the decision until after a UN Meeting on the subject, which will be chaired by Switzerland.
The committees say the meeting may discover new political and legal issues.
Last month, parliament decided to stop funding UNRWA.
This country is now an outlier. Many major western nations are paying - such as the US, Germany, the EU and the UK.
The organisation was the focus of attention as it faced allegations that some of its staff were involved with the Hamas led attack on Israel last year.
