Breastfeeding still very divisive

Still the majority of people believe breast-feeding in public is unacceptable.

Next week is breast feeding week. A survey by the Elvie company shows 57% say breastfeeding should be kept in private.

But there is a major difference between the language regions and age. Breastfeeding is more acceptable in French speaking areas than German and the young are also more tolerant.

More than half of those between 18 and 29 say its normal – but 75% of those over 60 say they disapprove.

Those that are opposed say it should definitely not happen on public transport or at work.
