The village of Brienz in canton Graubünden is facing a new evacuation.
In May last year, residents were told they had to leave as there was a danger a rockfall could demolish it. While there was a major fall a few weeks later, the village was spared.
But now experts say the upper slopes are moving too fast and a yellow alert has been issued, meaning locals have to be ready to move at short notice.
The mountain is under constant surveillance. Geologists say the scree is moving at a rate of 30 cm a day.
There are worries heavy rain could dislodge more.
