A Geneva bus driver is being hailed a hero after he stopped his bus to enter a burning building to rescue the elderly resident and his dog.
The driver was on the E bus route a couple of weeks ago, running past Meinier, when he noticed flames coming from an old building. He stopped and persuaded the man to leave – and also collected the dog.
He made both comfortable while waiting for the fire brigade.
