The Federal Council is under pressure to announce a lifting of some of the Covid 19 restrictions at the beginning of next month.
A group of 31 businesses associations, including EconomieSuisse and the Swiss Employers Association, say the shops should be allowed to reopen, the 5 person rules for meetings relaxed and the obligation to work from home lifted.
They say the rules should follow the path of the vaccinations.
The people are also getting restless, around 1,400 marched on Saturday in French speaking areas demanding the reopening of cultural venues.
To help with the reopening, cantons are outlining plans for mass testing. A recent testing programme in Vaud detected less than 1% of positive cases.
While the Federal Council will discuss the next stages on Wednesday – there’ll be no announcement until next week.
