It’s going to be a busy weekend – the Lake Parade is on in Geneva tomorrow and the Tour de France leaves from Annemasse.
Geneva Public Transport says the Lake Parade means some services will change from midday tomorrow and some stops will be closed.
It’s the 21st edition of the Parade, but it hasn’t been on for the last few years due to a combination of covid and lack of money.
The floats will gather at the top of the Avenue de France at midday – and the parade will move off from 3pm. It’ll go down the Quai Wilson, over the Mont-Blanc Bridge, up the Quai Gustav Ador and end at the Baby Plage.
The party will continue with the Lake Sensation – that starts at 6pm.
If cycling is more you – then the 14th stage of the Tour de France is leaving from Annemasse. The riders will be heading to Morzine Les Portes du Soleil – a total distance of 151.8 km.
The advice is not to drive – but take public transport to the start line. Or even better, cycle there. Organisers are encouraging bike use and there’ll be plenty of space to lock your iron steed up.
