Temperatures are set to soar over the next few days - but don’t expect blue skies.
Highs will get into the mid-thirties by the end of the week - but with a white haze, and the cause of that is thousands of kilometres away – the Canadian forest fires.
The smoke particles from the fires are crossing the Atlantic and dropping in altitude, so they’re being detected by mountain sensors.
As Europe is covered with a stable high-pressure system at the moment, there’s nowhere for the smoke to go.
But it should start to clear by the weekend - then the forecasters say we’ll get Sahara sand instead.
