Cancelled hearing in Crans Montana

Jessica Moretti will no longer face her husband in court next week

The Valais prosecutor has cancelled the planned 2 November confrontation hearing in the Crans-Montana fire case, after a psychotherapist warned that meeting Jacques Moretti — detained since August for alleged violence against her — would risk an acute psychological breakdown.

Only Jacques will now be questioned.

A second joint hearing scheduled for 2 December could also change.

Seventeen people are facing charges of negligent homicide over January's fire at Le Constellation bar, which killed 41 and injured 115.
