Despite environmental concerns and traffic jams we still love our cars.
Last month over 27,000 new cars were registered in Switzerland – that’s up 17% from the same period last year.
The figures from the Federal Statistics Office show hybrid and electric car sales soared by 87% - petrol cars were down 6% - but diesels engine vehicles were up slightly.
The total number of cars on the roads continues to climb. There’s some speculation the rise is due to pent up demand following supply issues caused by covid and then the war in Ukraine.
