While thousands have cooled off at the Carouge pool this summer – the town may have to do without a pool for the next two years.
After ten years of discussion – authorities have given the go ahead to a major new swimming complex – mixing indoor and outdoor facilities.
But the large outdoor pool will have to close while work is underway.
The new project will cost around CHF 73m.
