The fuel being pumped from a filling station in Chavornay in canton Vaud is being analyzed after a series of cars broke down soon after filing up.
The wrong fuel being pumped has been ruled out. All the cars needed petrol – and that was delivered.
But there’s a chance of water in the fuel – or perhaps another contaminant.
The head of the regional Miniprix stations, Sébastien Probst, says all those affected will be compensated.
Investigations are ongoing.
