Customers will not be able to use cash at the upcoming Christmas Market at Zurich main train station.
Traders are furious at the decision by the market organisers - saying they’ll lose money as many people use cash.
The idea behind the plan is down to safety, say the organisers.
One stall owner told the Blick newspaper that the potential loss of revenue would mean that his stall is no longer profitable.
The move to ban cash is legal – provided it’s clearly communicated.
