A man who’s been nicknamed the ‘Cave Murderer’ has been sentenced to 19 years in jail in canton Aargau.
The 23-year-old man pushed his 24-year-old companion into a cave while on a hike around the Bruggerberg. He then covered the entrance with sticks and leaves. The court also heard he then lit a fire and had a snack while the victim died.
The judge called his actions ‘inhuman’.
The man was also found guilty of attempted murder as a week before he tried the same thing while on a hike in Ticino.
The victim’s body was found by chance a year later by passers-by.
