Parliament has approved a budget of CHF 646 million for the development of small and medium sized businesses - or SMEs - between 2024 and 2027.
The funding will promote sustainability and digitalisation, as well as enhance the attractiveness of Switzerland as a destination for both tourism and business.
It will use a portion of these funds to develop the easygov.swiss website to meet companies' needs for government services via a simplified online platform.
The budget of CHF 646 million for the next three years is a significant increase from the CHF 399 million invested for the same purpose in the years 2020 to 2023.
