Climate activists blocked part of the autoroute around Lausanne yesterday morning, causing major delays.
The demonstrators sat in front of the autoroute entrance at 8am at Maladière, stopping the cars.
Police intervened quickly – carrying the protestors off the road, allowing traffic to flow again, in all the blockage lasted less than 15 minutes.
The aim was to push for more subsidies for energy efficient buildings and better insulation and echoes similar protests across Europe.
Six people were arrested.
