Could the Léman Express run 24/7?

From 2025, there’s a chance the Léman Express train could run for 24 hours a day.

The aim is to boost the attractiveness of the train over the car.

Services do run all night over the weekend now. That was included in the timetable change earlier in the month.

But the Geneva Council of State has asked for a feasibility study to examine running the trains 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

The company that runs the service, Lémanis, says it’s examining the proposal. A spokesman says they’re broadly in favour of it.
