Crans Montana fire warning ignored

New evidence in the Crans-Montana fire inquiry shows the bar's operators warned their own staff about the danger of firework candles, then kept using them anyway

WhatsApp messages now in the case file reveal that Jacques and Jessica Moretti told their Constellation bar team of the risk as far back as 2019.

They sent the warning twice. The candles stayed.

The subsequent blaze killed 41 people.

Lawyers for the Morettis say the messages show their sense of responsibility; prosecutors say they show a known risk ignored.
