Crans Montana hearings continue

The former Crans-Montana councillor in charge of security between 2017 and 2020 has been questioned for the first time by Valais prosecutors over the Constellation fire on New Year's Day

He agreed to answer questions, unlike some others summoned in the case.

During his term the building underwent two periodic safety inspections, in 2018 and 2019. Seventeen people have now been charged, including current and former elected officials and municipal employees, plus the building's owners Jacques and Jessica Moretti.

More hearings are scheduled through November and December.
