Customs officers are used to catching people with dangerous goods – and Swiss officers at the Ferney-Voltaire caught a pair with over 60 kilos of chicken spring rolls.
The hoard was discovered in the spare wheel space of their Vaud registered car. The pair run a Vietnamese restaurant in Switzerland.
They had to pay a deposit of thousands of francs in anticipation of VAT and fines to get released.
The spring rolls were destroyed.
