Delayed WTO meeting will disrupt Geneva traffic

Geneva residents are being warned of major traffic disruption next month due to a high-level meeting at the World Trade Organisation.

The 12th Ministerial Conference was due to be held last year, but was cancelled due to Covid. It will now go ahead between June 12th and 15th.

It’s expected 4,000 people will arrive – including heads of state and over 200 ministers.

The canton is warning of road closures, some parts of the lake near the WTO building will also be restricted as well as the nearby Barton Park.
