A Geneva doctor says he was conned by his patient into writing a sick note which covered up the fact the patient was actually in prison.
The doctor issued the note which was used by the man to convince his ex-partner he was unable to commit to visiting rights to his young daughter for medical reasons.
But police were told by prosecutors the doctor was informed of his patient’s incarceration as that’s normal procedure.
The doctor is appealing an initial sentence of a ten-month suspended prison sentence.
