Dogs will be more welcome in the city of Geneva. A total of 26 parks will have doggie spaces – fenced off areas where our best friends can run free.
Currently, all dogs have to be on leads in the city parks.
The project has been delayed because of covid, but now work is underway once again.
Soon around 8 parks will have the new spaces. They’ll have paths, bins, fences and more trees.
When the work is finished there will be 26 new spaces. The city has agreed to pay a million francs to keep the dogs -and their owners – happy.
10,000 dogs are registered in the city alone.
