A man has been cleared of drunk driving by a Geneva court – after two years and three appeals.
The man said he was in his car to secure some privacy with his girlfriend. He admitted to being a bit drunk, but says he had no intention to drive home. The car was parked in a car park.
The police say they believe he was planning to drive out of the car-park.
The appeal court says as he wasn’t driving, the drink-drive law doesn’t apply and cleared him.
