Driver arrested for three wheel trip

A man has been arrested for driving through the Sierre Tunnel in canton Valais with only three tyres.

The car was first spotted at 3am on Sunday morning. It was missing the front left tyre and was driving on the rim.

Witnesses told the press the car had other damage to the front and the driver seemed very drunk.

Valais police say the car was intercepted and the driver arrested. They’re not releasing any further information – but did add, perhaps unnecessarily, that it is illegal to drive on the road without tyres.
