A driver was killed in canton Lucerne over the weekend after he collided with a car and then smashed into a moving train.
Police say he was attempting to overtake on a road in Hochdorf, when he hit a car which pushed him on to nearby railways tracks while a train was passing.
The 54-year-old died at the scene.
There were no other injuries.
Police are asking for witnesses.
