Police and border guards stopped several cars at the Bardonnex border yesterday morning who had unpaid traffic tickets.
In all 49 drivers were stopped for not paying fines issued by the Contraventions Service. The cars were a mixture of Swiss and foreign registered.
Geneva police say the exercise will be repeated again on a regular basis.
