Any hopes of an Easter break in the sun have been dashed.
At the beginning of the month there were hopes the Italian Island of Sardinia would be open for business. But climbing infections means the island is now back into lockdown and visitors are not welcome. $
It’s normally a very popular destination for Swiss tourists – especially at Easter – and it’s thought many had already booked a break when it seemed it would be safe to travel.
But now all bars and restaurants are closed and a curfew is in place from 10pm.
