easyJet staff based in Switzerland have secured a very generous pay rise.
Unions are celebrating the impact their negotiations have had – saying the deal is certainly at the top of their expectations.
Workers will now get a 13th month salary and a 10% rise every year for the next three years.
In addition, pension contributions have been improved.
On average, pay will increase about CHF 1,500 a month for easyJet staff.
The deal means easyJet staff are now best paid short-haul crews in Europe.
easyJet Switzerland is one of the most profitable units of the company, helped by relatively low airport taxes levied in Geneva and Basel.
