The move comes as e-scooter numbers keep climbing across Swiss cities.
Zurich alone has around 5,000 rental scooters on the streets, on top of privately owned models. E-scooters are now Germany's most dangerous mode of transport, with a serious-injury rate roughly 40 times that of cars.
