Geneva is reactivating its heatwave plan from today as another spell of high temperatures is forecast to last until at least next Monday.
Authorities are urging residents to stay hydrated, avoid the hottest parts of the day and check on vulnerable neighbours.
The move comes just a week after the previous heatwave plan ended, when hospitals and emergency services came under significant pressure.
