There may soon be an end to unwanted junk in your mailbox.
The Upper House of parliament, the Council of States is due to vote on the issue. The Lower House has already agreed to change the law.
It will mean that instead of having a sticker on your letter box, asking for no advertising – which is widely ignored – if you want such communication, you have to have a sticker asking for it.
It’s expected not many will.
A survey suggests much of the unwanted material is largely unread.
It’s hoped the move will cut down on waste.
