An off-duty policeman spotted an escaped prisoner watching the Lucerne marathon over the weekend.
The man was also part of the spectators.
The Schwyz cantonal office realised the man had absconded from a prison in Zug.
As he was off duty and out of his jurisdiction – he called the Lucerne police.
The man was arrested at the Transport Museum bus stop. He’s been returned to jail where he will serve the remainder of his sentence of 91 days.
