You’ll have to wait a little longer for a tram or a bus in Geneva from next week.
The public transport company, the TPG, says it has no choice but to cut the number of services in an effort to minimize the impact of the pandemic.
The number of people suffering from Covid or self-isolating means absenteeism is at a high rate – it was 16% yesterday.
There will be a reduced service running from next week until the start of the school holidays in the middle of February, when a cut timetable would be in operation anyway.
The announcement from the TPG echoes a similar warning from the Léman Express which has also cut services for the same reason.
