There seems to be a mobile phone app for everything – and now in French speaking Switzerland there maybe one to settle legal disputes.
A lawyer in canton Fribourg has come up with an app that will allow a judge to settle a dispute without the need to go to court.
The eJustice app is for civil law and covers rent disputes, work issues and monetary recovery.
The inventor, Engin Kahraman, says many can’t afford a lawyer, or the amount sought is too small. He says many people don’t realise they can go to court without a lawyer – and they don’t know what to do.
One judge says the app is simple and well done.
