The government has paid the first compensation for Covid vaccination damage.
Someone in Geneva has been paid CHF 13,860, according to the Federal Department of Home Affairs.
The compensation relates to loss of earnings.
For any claim to be successful, it must be proven there is a link between the vaccine and health impairments.
The government says the agreement to pay compensation is not suggesting the vaccine was unsafe, but an acknowledgement that it could trigger some heath conditions in very rare cases.
320 claims have been made so far – but not every claim will be successful.
