First teams through to semis

The first two teams in the Women’s Euro Championships have secured their place in the quarter finals. Sweden and Germany are now through – with 6 points each.

Germany beat Denmark 2-1 last night in Basel and Sweden beat Poland 3-0 in Lucerne.

Wales is due to face France later today. The Welsh team missed a training session yesterday after their bus was involved in a minor accident just outside Sankt Gallen. No one was injured, according to the Welsh Football Association.

England face the Netherlands later today. It’s almost a must win game for England, who are the defending champions, if they wish to advance.

If they lose, the only hope they have is if Wales beat France.
