The Federal Office of Civil Aviation is buried with complaints about airlines.
Aggrieved passengers may have to wait months, or even longer, before getting any form of resolution.
A spokesman says they had 750 reports against airlines in July alone – that’s 25 a day.
The office only has 5 full time staff members to handle all the correspondence.
But patience can pay off. The spokesman says that airlines tend to react when the office gets involved. It has the power to fine if regulations have been breached.
