Forecasters are cautiously optimistic the long weekend weather maybe better than previously forecast.
So far, this month has been a washout and one of the coldest in recent years.
The rain looked set to last for a week or so more. This is due to the Jetstream being blocked.
But now our luck could be changing. Meteonews suggest Saturday and Sunday could see temperatures as high as 20 with plenty of bright patches.
They do attach a note of caution, saying it remains unstable. But they also say there’s a good chance the weather north of the alps will be better than Ticino.
Could be worth noting before heading for the tunnel.
