There are warnings that people should not get complacent with the arrival of free at home testing kits.
Now everyone with Swiss health insurance is entitled to 5 free covid testing kits a month. They can be collected from any pharmacy in the country.
But some pharmacists say the tests may give people a false sense of security. One told the Tribune de Genève he’s worried some will stop taking enough care during the pandemic.
The tests are not as reliable as those given out in test centres and they’re not valid for travel.
If someone tests positive, they’re then supposed to self-isolate.
