Geneva is looking to relax its rules in where solar panels can be installed.
Currently there are restrictions on installing panels on older buildings that may have a heritage protection order in place.
It’s published a consultation document which is looking to allow more flexibility.
The canton says it’s not in reaction to recent legal setbacks where courts have ruled in favour of home owners with solar panels.
In the past, judges have said the canton is enforcing the rules too strictly.
