Swiss Federal Railways has released details of its 2025 timetable, and Geneva will lose some direct links.
There won’t be a direct service to towns at the foot of the Jura – such as Biel and Neuchatel. But even with a change, the time of the journey will be similar.
But there will be more trains on the Léman Express – especially to Annemasse.
The SBB says the new timetable is necessary as new rolling stock runs better on some lines than others and to accommodate major infrastructure work. Over the next ten years half of the track running between Geneva and Fribourg will be replaced.
