A proposed renovation of the Geneva Art and History Museum has taken another step forward after the City Council released CHF 20m for a feasibility study and an architectural competition.
The proposed revamp of the museum is been problematic as voters have rejected one idea, Green Party members questions the environmental impact – and many others are worried about the cost which could reach CHF 240m.
Backers say the museum should be expanded, as currently it can only display 3% of the 650,000 items it owns.
