Tobacco shops in Geneva are doing a good job on recycling disposable electronic cigarettes.
That’s the conclusion after cantonal team went to check.
Anyone selling disposable e-cigs also has to provide a place used ones can be deposited.
The checking team were not issuing fines this time around, they were simply seeing how many shops were adhering to the new rules.
The shops simply leave the used devices in a box when they have collected enough and the post office sends them to recycle. It’s completely free of charge. One kiosk in Paquis had filled three 50 litre bags.
The team concluded the message is being well received by the shops.
