The town of Büsingen is a small German town completely surrounded by Switzerland – a German exclave.
But soon you may not know you’re there or even be sure about the country you’re in.
This is because the German government says it no longer wants the expense of maintaining the signs which line the border pointing out to travellers that they're crossing the border. Many are now very old and some have even been stolen.
Some argue that in the days of free movement of people and passport-free zones, the signs are irrelevant.
But others point out there is still a customs border which may catch people out.
