Voters in canton Valais have elected a new Grand Council and parliament, and the Greens are main losers.
They lost 4 of their 5 seats to the right-wing Swiss People’s Party – and the fifth to the Centre Party.
The big winner was Franziska Biner from the Centre Party – she won her seat on the Grand Council by a margin of 10,000.
But turnout was at a historic low – only 45.6% - in 2021 it was over 60%.
