Fitness membership has reached a new record, according to the latest industry figures, with 1.45 million people now registered at gyms, that’s around one in five adults.
The sector also saw stronger financial growth, with turnover rising 4.4 percent to CHF 1.36bn last year.
Industry group Swiss Active says the increase is driven by a growing health trend, particularly among people aged 20 to 29.
