Around 200 health professionals demonstrated outside the offices of the World Health Organization in Geneva on Saturday demanding climate change be listed as a global health emergency.
A delegation from the Swiss section of ‘Doctors for Extinction Rebellion’ handed over a letter signed by over a thousand care workers calling for the WHO to recognise climate change is putting people at risk of death and health authorities around the world need to act.
The WHO issued a statement saying there is ‘no vaccine against climate change and we need to act now before it’s too late.’
