The Federal Environment Office is warning water levels in the Rhône River and Lake Geneva are very high.
The combination of heavy rain and the melting snow is the main reason.
The Rhône in Valais now has a level three warning in place in many areas, especially between Sion and Aigle and a level 2 in Brig.
Lake Geneva is also under a level 2 alert.
The waters are expected to reach their peak tomorrow – but more rain could extend the risk.
